What Is AI Smart Search?
Search by Meaning
AI Smart Search finds memos related to your search words.
Find Memos Even Without Exact Words
Even when the exact words do not match, memos with similar meaning may be found.

Processed On Device
Search processing happens on your device. Your memo contents are not sent outside the device.
Search Tips
Short phrases that express meaning are easier to find than very short words.

It may be too broad and may not find what you want.
“planning a trip”
It may find something like “hotel reservation for Sapporo on the 22nd.”
Keep Each Memo to One Topic
AI looks at the meaning of the whole memo. If many different topics are mixed in one memo, it can become harder to tell what the memo is about.

→ Write only one topic
When possible, it is best to write one topic per memo.
Memos That May Not Be Included in AI Search
The following types of memos may not be included in AI search.
Very Short Memos
When there is too little content, the meaning can be hard to judge.
Very Long Memos
For long text, keyword search may be more suitable.
Numbers or Symbols Only
They may be excluded because their meaning is difficult to read.
Meaningless Text
Random strings and similar text may be excluded from search.
Understand Relevance by Color
Memos found by AI Smart Search change cell color according to relevance.
Memos with higher relevance are shown in more vivid colors.
Memos found by normal word search use the normal color. Only memos added by AI Smart Search are colored.
Initial Setup Is Required
Tap the “Prepare AI Smart Search” Button
Tap the button inside the app.
Wait Until Preparation Finishes
The app reads your logs and prepares them for AI search.
You can stop and resume at any time.
AI Search Becomes Available
When preparation finishes, AI Smart Search becomes available.
When You Import New Logs
To include those logs in AI search, tap the “Prepare AI Smart Search” button again.
If There Are No Logs
No preparation is needed.
Practical Tips
AI Smart Search can find memos by meaning or mood, even when you do not remember the exact keywords. As your memos grow, it becomes easier to rediscover unexpected records later.
Find Forgotten Memos
Search for things like “something I meant to do” or “something I was thinking of buying”, even if you do not remember the exact words.
Look Back Like a Diary
Even simply saving short memos lets you look back on your life with searches like “day off”, “change of pace”, or “after work”.
Rediscover Ideas
If you casually write down ideas, you can search later for “next thing to do”, “improvement ideas”, or “things to look up later”.
Search by Mood or Emotion
You may find memos from angles that are hard to search by keyword alone, such as “relaxing”, “something that really surprised me”, or “a cynical point of view”.
Example Search Phrases
If you write anything down casually, AI can later use it as a clue to find memos with similar meaning.
